Collection: Tanzanite

Tanzanite is a blue-purple variety of the mineral zoisite that can only be found within an eight mile radius in the Mererani Hills of northern Tanzania, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro and the city of Arusha. Discovered in 1967 by Masai tribesman Ali Juuyawatu and first introduced to the rest of the world by Tiffany’s in 1968, the gem has become second only to the sapphire when it comes to blue stones, and adds a magnificent pop of blue to jewellery ranging from necklaces to engagement rings.
